Sharpley Springs Fly Fishing Lakes are an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It is located on the B1404 just off the A19 and close to the A1(M). Sharpley Springs is one of the North East’s premier fly fishing venues with excellent access for disabled fisherman and winner of the Junior Trout Master title two years running. The six spring fed lakes are stocked with Blue, Brown and Rainbow trout and the existing record stands at 23lb 6ozs. There is a children’s worm lake available, which is also fully accessible for those with special needs.

The onsite Fishermans lodge offers the following amenities: central heating for winter months, complimentary tea and coffee, microwave and fridge, full disabled access and toilets. Coarse fishing is also available close by at the Strawberry Fields. Tuition and rod hire are available at both venues by pre arrangement. Please call 0191 581 4821.
